When contacted by iNews, Sooba revealed that the protestors have been in front of her Duncan Street, Georgetown home for the past two hours now, singing hymns and calling for her removal from the Mayor and City Council.

Sooba told this news site that she already contacted the police but until now, there has been no response. According to the acting Town Clerk, she telephoned the Kitty Police Station and the Police Officer was rude.

Earlier today, Monday August 5, City Mayor Hamilton Green issued a call for vendors to show up at City Hall every morning to prohibit the acting Town Clerk Carol Sooba from entering her office.

iNews sought a comment from Local Government Minister Norman Whittaker about Green’s plan and was told that the Mayor is unauthorized to block the Town Clerk from entering her office and prohibiting her from carrying out her duties.

iNews also contacted Sooba who stated that despite the plans to lock her out, she has every intention of showing up for work since she is an officer of the council and has duties to perform.

According to Sooba the Mayor is senile.
