Plumber robbed in Campbell Avenue by bicycle bandits

A Plumber who was making his way home in the wee hours of Friday morning was accosted and robbed of his plumbing tools and other items by two men, one armed with a gun.

According to reports received, Kenyata Sampson, 30, of Lot 43 Williams Street Kitty was robbed at around 00:30hrs.

Inews understands that Sampson was walking along Campbell Avenue, Kitty when he was confronted by two males who rode up from the opposite direction on a bicycle.

The armed bandit reportedly pulled out a gun from his waist and pointed it at the Plumber requesting that he hand over his valuables.

Sampson reportedly handed over his haversack after which the men made good their escape. The haversack contained plumbing tools valued $11,000 along with $35,000 and a quantity of documents.

The matter was reported to the Police.

This publication was informed by law enforcement officials that CCTV footage in the area is being reviewed as investigations continue.
