[www.inewsguyana.com]After almost two months on the run; 28 – year – old businessman Randy Jagdeo was officially charged with the offence of murder before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry.

Jagdeo was not required to plead to the charge during his arraignment in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday October 30.

It is alleged that on September 03 at Eccles, East Bank Demerara he murdered his friend, Kirk Davis, who was a well known biker. Reports indicate that Davis was shot some 16 times.

While relating the prosecution’s case to the court, Police Prosecutor Bharrat Mangru said that Kirk Davis and Randy Jagdeo were friends prior to the incident.

The Court heard that Davis was seen kissing the accused wife at Palm Court before leaving to go home. According to the prosecutor, Jagdeo became annoyed and went to Davis home and invited him into his Silver Allion car accompanied by his wife to sort out the allegation after which the accused was seen with a gun, exiting the said vehicle and heading to the back seat, opened the door and fired several shots towards Davis.

Additionally, it is alleged that Jagdeo dumped Davis’ body outside of the vehicle and escaped. Kirk Davis was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown public hospital.

Since investigations are not yet completed the Chief Magistrate remanded Jagdeo until November 21. [Royan Abrams]
