Mother, son charged for employing child at rum shop

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Mother and her son were granted $75,000 bail each, after pleading not guilty to employing a child on a premise that sells alcoholic beverages.

During their appearance on Monday, March 30 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, Suzan Henry and Yarly Bowen, 21, both of Lot 447 One Mile Wismar, Linden, denied the charge when it was read them.

The Court heard that between March 5 and 28 at Suzan Grill and Bar at Konowaruk, Pataro, they employed a child at their business place, when they were selling alcoholic beverages.

Police Prosecutor Bharat Mangru did not object to bail. The matter was transferred to the Mahdia Magistrate’s court for April 20.

  1. ppp trying to gain political miles…this stinks…was the so called child drinking the alcohol??? in america go see how 10 11 12 year young children being exploited..go see and they are the mother of all morality on earth..
