Millions in cash, jewellery allegedly stolen during Parika home invasion

1
A 10-year-old boy has now been left traumatised after returning home from lessons earlier this evening to find his mother passed out in their house with a black plastic bag tied over her head.
investigationReports are that around 19:00hrs the lad walked into his Parika Outfall, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) house and saw his mother lying on the floor in an unconscious state. He quickly raised an alarm and tried to render assistance to his mother.
When she woke up she related that someone had entered their home, where she was alone at that time, and used a tissue doused with some unfamiliar substance that made her lose consciousness. She vaguely remembers that a plastic bag was placed over her head before she passed out.
Upon investigating the woman along with relatives realised that the home had been vandalised and that the family’s jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen. Unconfirmed reports are that the losses amounted to  millions of dollars.
Police are presently investigating the matter.

  1. Is this the change people voted for? This is becoming worse than when the PPP was in power. The opposition at that time had all the answers to the crime wave . Now what is really going on ?
