Man wanted for armed robberies found dead

Police say they are investigating the murder of 24-year-old Colin Daley, who is known as ‘Floggy and Frog Eye’ of East La-Penitence, whose body was found in a pool of blood with a suspected gunshot wound to the head, at Albert Street, Albouystown about 01:20h. this morning.
The body is presently at the Lyken Funeral Home awaiting a post mortem examination.  
According to the Police, Daley who was unemployed, was wanted by the police for questioning in relation to several armed robberies, including that of a Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) officer, Ariel Benjamin, 35, who was recently shot during the commission of a robbery.  

 

At the time of the shooting the GRA officer was entering his home at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

Based on reports received, Benjamin was heading through his door when when he was attacked by an armed bandit who demanded his bag.

After grabbing his bag, the bandit reportedly shot him in his abdomen and fled. The GRA officer was subsequently hospitalized for his injury.
