[www.inewsguyana.com] – A man, identified as Dexter Griffith, was on Tuesday night shot dead in East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
According to reports, Griffith was in the area when a lone gunman walked up to him and shot him several times.
He was reportedly hit in his head, chest and feet.
Griffith, who also resides in East Ruimveldt was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital after being rushed there subsequent to the shooting incident.
Details are sketchy but residents claimed that Griffith is known to the police and is connected to the criminal underworld.
