A 31-year-old man was earlier today sentenced to prison when he appeared in Court, for stabbing an 11-year-old boy.
Carl Anderson Braithwaite plead guilty to the charge which stated that on September 15, 2016 at the Avenue of Republic, Georgetown, he stabbed the young boy, thereby causing actual bodily harm.
The prosecutor facts stated that on the day in question, the young boy was walking along Robb Street, when Braithwaite approached him from behind and dealt him three stabs about his body. It was also stated in court that the defendant is in the habit of stabbing persons.
Magistrate Dylan Bess advised him to refrain from the bad habit. Braithwaite was then sentenced to 9 months in prison.
