Police are now investigating a break and enter at La Grange Nursery School, West Bank Demerara, sometime last night.
Reports indicate that the discovery was made by staff at the school at approximately 07:00hrs today. Inspection of the scene suggests that the burglars gained entry into the school by breaking a window in the kitchen area.
The school is now missing a transformer, a quantity of detergents, a quantity of juices among other items.
INews was reliably informed that this is the fourth time the school had been broken into.
Recently, a bandit on a CG motorcycle snatched a gold chain off the neck of a parent attending a health fair at the Vreed-en-Hoop Number One Nursery School.
The crime wave plaguing Guyana has spiralled out of control over the past few months, with bandits even targeting the nursery schools in the execution of their nefarious activities.
