Kitty resident accused of stealing $1M in items from storage bond

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – nine – year – old, Clinton Kissoon of William Street Kitty, Georgetown, was remanded to prison by Magistrate Judy Latchman today on a break and enter charge.

Kissoon pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that between August 28 and 29 at Second Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, he broke and entered the bond of Alpha Import and Export and stole one Toshiba laptop computer, one Kindle and a quantity of perfume and soap powder together valued $1M property of Denbeigh Rickford.

Police Prosecutor Michael Grant successfully opposed bail by citing the prevalence, nature and gravity of the offence. The case will call again on September 10 before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry
