[www.inewsguyana.com] – The woman who jumped to her death from the Demerara Harbour Bridge (DHB) on Tuesday, January 27 has been identified as 58 – year – old Patricia Theresa Lowton, who was a mother of four.

The woman resided at Section ‘C’ Block ‘Y’ Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara. One of her daughters told iNews during an interview that the woman left home at approximately 8:30 hrs on Tuesday to conduct a blood test at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

It was only until late in the afternoon that relatives realized that the woman, who was a mental health patient of Dr. Bhiro Harry, did not return home. Family members identified her body at the Lyken Funeral Parlour after they received word that a woman had jumped from the Harbour Bridge.

iNews understands that her husband was former army rank who was stabbed to death by a colleague during an argument some 23 years ago.

Sources indicated that since the death of her husband, the woman has been mentally unstable.
