The Guyana Police Force (GPF) ‘A’ Division on Saturday 26, November 2016 held a 10/10 softball cricket competition at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

 
The competition saw sixteen teams drawn from Tiger Bay, Yarrowkabra, Stevedore, Mocha, Agricola, East Ruimveldt and other areas in ‘A’ Division. The main objective of the competition was geared in building cohesion between the Guyana Police Force and the public with the development of youths through sports.
 
Brian Smith, the assistant director of Sports, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport declared the competition open and the National Anthem was vocalized by Mr Phillips of the Albouystown/Charlestown Youth Group.
 
The male finals saw Tiger Bay demolishing East Ruimveldt by 71 runs for the first place spot, whilst the women from Yarrowkabra outclassed the Tiger Bay females by 50 runs. Darian Dickson of the Tiger Bay team received a trophy for man-of the-match, whilst his counterpart Ms Dacy Adrian of Yarrowkabra took the honor as woman-of-the-match.
