The 16-year-old who fatally stabbed Intiaz Ally, 23, of Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo during an altercation over a woman was arraigned with murder when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
The teenager was not required to plead to the indictable charge which stated that on November 19, 2016 he murdered Ally at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
The charge was read to the teen during an in-camera hearing before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Subsequent to the reading of the charge, the young teen was remanded to prison and the case was adjourned until December 17. The stabbing stemmed from an accusation that the teenager was having an affair with the dead man’s 26-year-old girlfriend.
