Early morning accident at Blankenburg leaves 2 kids dead, …mother, stepfather hospitalised

Two children; 10 months and 7-years -old,  are now dead and their mother and stepfather hospitalised following an early morning accident at Blankenburg, West Coast Demerara, today.

INews understands that the mother of the two children, Michell Halley of Covent Garden Public Road, East Bank Demerara, is in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital where she is receiving medical treatment; while her husband and the Stepfather of the now two dead children, Mark Halley, is in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a critical state.

Details surrounding the accident remain sketchy. However, INews  has been reliably informed that at approximately 02:00hrs today (Tuesday), the family was heading to Parika in a dark grey Premio motor car, when the driver, Mark Halley, reportedly lost control and collided with two other vehicles on the Public Road.

Investigations are ongoing into the accident.
