Durband Backlands fight lands trio in Court

court[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three persons facing separate charges were today placed on $5,000 bail each by Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Thirty – seven – year old Natasha Smith of Buxton, East Coast Demerara pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on September 7 at Durban Backlands, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged one jersey valued $5,000 belonging Beverley Barrow.

Barrow, a 45 – year – old nurse of Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on the same day at Durban Backlands, he damaged one jersey valued $12,000, belonging to Jerome Gitts.

Gitts, 45, also of Durban Backlands pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that on the same he unlawfully assaulted Barrow.

Police Prosecutor Seon Blackman did not object to bail and the trio will make their next Court appearance before Magistrate Dylon Bess on September 22.
