[www.inewsguyana.com] – Former Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) Robert Corbin has managed to mend the once fractured relationship that the PNCR shares with its Linden faction.

This was confirmed by Executive Member of the PNCR, Joseph Harmon at a press conference on Friday, February 20.

Over the pass months, the PNCR has had a turbulent relationship with its Linden faction which escalated when the Linden arm held an informal protest at PNCR’s Congress over the accreditation of delegate status to some members.

Harmon told reporters that “Mr Corbin was asked by the leadership of the PNCR to go to Linden to deal with that matter.”

According to Harmon, the former PNCR leader led a one man delegation to the area where he was able to iron out several pertinent issues relating to PNC’s internal affairs with its Linden faction.

Harmon said that based on the “excellent” work that Corbin was able to do, A Partnership For National Unity (APNU) was able to initiate its elections campaign in the mining town.

In this regard, the General Secretary pointed out that Region 10 Regional Chairman, Sharma Solomon was appointed as Campaign Director for the region.

“Mr Corbin had done what he has to do,” said Harmon. When asked whether Corbin will feature on the coalition’s campaign trail, Harmon responded in the positive pointing out that the coalition will utilize all of talents and resources at its disposal during this period.
