Buxton man granted $40,000 bail for wounding ‘Rasta-man’

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Karamchand Seetal of 263 Company Road Buxton, East Coast Demerara, charged with unlawful wounding, was today (Monday, July 28), placed on $40,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine – Beharry.

The unrepresented man pleaded not guilty to the offence which alleged that on July 22 at Kerkou Landing, Cuyuni River he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Donald ‘Rasta man’ Jackson.

The Prosecutor, Michael Grant did not relate the facts to the Court and also did not oppose to bail for the defendant, who has no prior conviction.

He was bonded to keep the peace pending the determination of the matter which was transferred to the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court for September 14.

  1. one rasta man run over a little boy foot with his car..took the little boy home then accompany his family to hospital..came back to the little boy home next day to see how he doing and promised to pay for breaking the little boy foot…the family never hear or see rasta man ever again..
