East Ruimveldt businessman, 32-year-old Eon Brian, was yesterday morning arrested with 369 grams of cannabis (marijuana), in a water pump he had in his possession, whilst on board a speedboat at Bartica.
Police ranks, acting up information, swooped down on the suspect who was about to depart the Bartica Stelling in a speedboat and conducted a search in his person and belongings, during which the illegal substance was found hidden in the water pump.
Brian was arrested, charged and appeared before His Worship, Delon Best, at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court today. Brian pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison. The case was postponed to December 01, 2016 for trial.
