The body of a 34-year-old labourer from New Road Village, Essequibo Coast, Region Two, was on Wednesday morning found floating in a canal at Charity.
Dead is Terrence Theodore Ramcharran. He was last seen Tuesday evening imbibing with friends.
According to information reaching INews, Ramcharran told his wife Shellana Ramcharran that he was going and take a few drinks with some friends. Information further revealed that after he finished drinking he went swimming and his friends went away. After he did not return home, his wife reported the matter.
According to a source, family members began searching the area where he was last seen and found his footwear. At about 9:00h on Tuesday morning a child noticed the body floating and raised an alarm.
The Police were summoned and his body was later transported to the Suddie mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
He leaves to mourn his reputed wife along with three children.
