[www.inewsguyana.com] –As May 11 election date draws closer, Guyana’s two major political factions is all set for major political rallies this evening (March 29) in Georgetown and Whim in Region Six (6).

The People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) is scheduled to host its first major rally in Kitty, while A Partnership for National Unity/Alliance for Change (APNU/AFC) coalition would be hosting its second rally in Whim, Berbice – the first having been held in Linden.

The speakers for the PPP/C include Presidential Candidate, Donald Ramotar; Prime Ministerial Candidate, Elisabeth Harper; PPP General Secretary, Clement Rohee and Former President, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo.

Many persons would be listening keenly when Jagdeo mounts the platform as he has promised a direct response to the criticisms of APNU/AFC Prime Ministerial Candidate, Moses Nagamootoo.

Meanwhile, APNU/AFC Presidential Candidate David Granger alongside Nagamootoo will be returning to the village they grew up in as boys to encourage the electorate to vote for the coalition come May 11.

Predominantly, Whim is a stronghold of the PPP/C so this particular rally will be given acute attention.
