Ansa McAL fully supports RHTY&SC Town Week

Regional business giants ANSA McAL has officially come on board as the official sponsor of the ‘Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, M.S’ organised Town Week in observance of the 46th anniversary celebrations of Rose Hall Town as a township.

Rose Hall, the smallest town in Guyana was granted the status of township on the 20th of September, 1970 and Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation was granted the approval from the Mayor and Town Council to organise a series of activities to celebrate the anniversary between September 14 and 25.

Ansa McAL’s sponsorship includes the rental of music sets, tents and stage for several public events, trophies for sports and educational competitions, operating a booth at the Career and Business Fair on Thursday 22nd and providing two Georgetown based artistes for the Grand Public Concert scheduled for the 25th of September to end the almost two weeks of celebrations.

Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster was delighted that the long-standing sponsor of the RHTY&SC has come on board as an official sponsor of the Town Week, which he promised will be the best ever organised in Guyana. Ansa McAL’s massive sponsorship was the final puzzle to fall into place and the Secretary/CEO expressed gratitude to Marketing Director Troy Cadogan for approving the Club’s sponsorship request.

The Town Week would be organised by the eight cricket teams of the RHTY&SC,  and its Over 35 section. The almost two weeks of celebration would start with a Massive March Past and Opening Ceremony on the 14th of September and would conclude on Sunday September 25 with the hosting of the Historic Rose Hall Town Cuisine Competition and Public Concert.

Among the other programmes planned are a Television Documentary on the Township, Public Exhibition, Tourism Posters, Honouring of Top Students, Medical Outreach, Educational Competitions, Steel-band Concert and Dancing Competitions, Launching of a 40 pages Booklet, Career and Business Fair, Opening of Family Recreational Park and the honouring of residents over the age of 85 years. President David Granger, the RHTY&SC Patron has been invited to take the salute at the March Past and deliver the Feature Address at the Opening Ceremony.

The eight cricket teams – RHT Farfan & Mendes Under 15, Bakewell Under 17 and Second Division, Metro Females, Pepsi Under 19 & Intermiade and Gizmos & Gadgets First Division are urging all local and overseas based residents of Rose Hall Town to get involved in every one of the planned activities.
