[www.inewsguyana.com] – An alleged wife beater is now nursing a gunshot wound to his leg after he was shot by police during an arrest attempt on Tuesday, December 01, 2015.
According to a police release, at approximately 14:45 hrs, ranks responded to a report of assault committed on a female by her reputed husband, Tabeco Mc Kenzie of East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown.
The police ranks, accompanied by the woman, went to East Ruimveldt where the 30-year-old suspect was seen. iNews understands that during efforts by the police to arrest him, he was shot to his left foot.
Mc Kenzie has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital as the investigations continue.
