Albouystown man charged with armed robbery

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Forty – three – year old Linden Hodge of Lot 63 Cross Street, Albouystown, Georgetown was remanded to prison on Monday, August 31 by Magistrate Ann McLennan for the offence of robbery under arms.

It is alleged that on August 23, 2015 at Campbellville, Georgetown, being in the company of another and being armed with a gun, he robbed Mervin Persaud of one Toyota Premio Motor Car valued $ 2M and one Black Berry Cellphone valued $ 10,000.

Hodge, who claimed to be a businessman and shop owner, pleaded not guilty to the offence. According to the prosecution, outstanding statements are yet to be brought before the court.

Hodge was then remanded to prison and is scheduled to make his next court appearance on September 08.
