Ranks from the Guyana Police Force Narcotics Branch conducted an eradication exercise on Friday between 03:00 hrs and 16:30hrs at Yarakabra on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
According to the Police in a release, they destroyed over 5000 marijuana plants from four acres, the plants ranged from 4 to 6 feet in height, with an average weight of 2,500 kilograms.
No one was arrested as investigations are ongoing.
