[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two persons, including a 5 – year – old boy lost their lives yesterday (Monday, August 18), when the boat they were travelling in struck a rock along a river at Dukwari, Cuyuni.
Dead are: Brazilian National, 66 – year – old Jose Henrique Salvao De Souza of Junior Ross Landing, Cuyuni and 5 – year – old Bisham Munilall ofCharolette Street, Georgetown.
According to police, the incident happened at about 16:00 hours and several passengers were thrown overboard. Only the body of De Souza has so far been recovered. Investigations are in progress.
