Two motorists remain in serious condition following a three-vehicle collision in the vicinity of Baroon Bar, Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) on Saturday evening.
The identities of the two men were unavailable, but they are referred to as “Fishman son” of Parika, EBE and “Elle or Jesus” attached to the Big Kiss Taxi Service.
Based on reports received, “Fishman son”, who was driving a Carina AT 192, was about to make a turn into a street when the allegedly speeding Toyota Spacio, which was heading to Parika, slammed into his car.
After the collision, one of the cars then crashed into a parked Toyota Premio owned by a young man of Salem, Parika.
There were reportedly no passengers in the Premio. However, as a result of the impact, the drivers of the mangled AT 192 and Toyota Spacio sustained severe injuries.
Both men were taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where they were treated before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for further medical attention.
