[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – nine – year – old Odell Devine of West Ruimveldt, Georgetown was fined $15,000 after pleading guilty to the possession of three and a half grammes of Marijuana.
The Court heard that on November 19, police from the West Ruimveldt area carried out a search on the defendant, when they found the substance in his left side pants pocket.
Devine told the Court: “I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and I’m sorry”.
He told the Magistrate that he uses the substance because he has “minor problems.” Devine was ordered to pay the fine and to conduct three weeks community service or a default five months imprisonment.
